Collauth items are physical collectibles, so a sale isn't finished until the item actually changes hands.
In-person pickup
For in-person handoffs, both sides confirm the exchange with a QR code handshake: the seller scans first to confirm they're handing the item over, then the buyer scans to confirm they've received it. This gives both parties a timestamped record of the handoff.
Shipped orders
For shipped items, the seller marks the order as shipped, and the buyer confirms once it arrives.
Automatic confirmation
If a buyer doesn't explicitly confirm receipt, the order automatically confirms itself 7 days after purchase. This keeps orders from being stuck in limbo indefinitely while still giving buyers a full window to raise a problem.
If something goes wrong
You can open a dispute any time before the order is confirmed as complete — before you confirm receipt, and before the 7-day automatic confirmation kicks in. See Buying, selling & payments for how disputes are resolved.
